John Sam Pong Ko, 88, of Hilo died March 24 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kukaiau, he was a retired owner of the former Kilauea Hotel, U.S. Army World War II veteran and member of Wanderers Athletic Club of Hilo and Born Losers Golf Club. Services held.
